How to Make Coconut Milk Pulao | Thengai Paal Sadam
This Coconut Milk Rice is very tasty and Healthy one. You can make this just 15 minutes. I am going to make this in cooker. You need only very less ingredients for this Coconut Rice. It is very easy recipe and unique one for Lunch. Usually we make Lemon rice, Tamarind Rice, Sambar rice or Coconut Rice for Lunch. But this is very different one. Definitely You will Love it.
- Basmati Rice-1 Cup
- 4 Teaspoon of Groundnut oil
- Big Onion(chopped)-2 Nos
- Green Chillies-3-4 Nos
- Ginger and Garlic Paste (Homemade)-2 Teaspoon
- Bay leaf-1 no
- Cardamom-1 no
- Coconut Milk-2 Cups
- Fennel seeds-1 teaspoon
- Poppy seeds-1 teaspoon
- Salt As needed
- Ghee-2 Teaspoon
- One handful Mint Leaves (pudina)
- Coriander Leaves
Instructions for Coconut Milk Rice :
1.Firstly, Heat 3 teaspoon of groundnut oil in a pressure cooker. Add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf , fennel seeds and chopped small onions, Stir Well.
2.Secondly add Homemade ginger and garlic paste, stir well everything. I grind Green chilies, Garlic and ginger well.
3.Next, add mint leaves-Pudina and Salt.
4.Then Add Thick Coconut Milk .Once It Was Boiled Add Basmati / Briyani Rice into it.
5.Finally Add Coriander leaves and one teaspoon of ghee, close the lid.
6.Pressure cook for 2 or 3 whistles on medium flame.
7.Best combination for this Rice Is Potato Fry than Raita. Serve hot.
There is no water added for this Variety Rice. Add coconut milk based on Basmati / Briyani Rice.
If you don’t have Fennel and Poppy Seeds, just Skip It.
I never use Refined Products Like Salt, Sugar And Oil. Also I don’t Use Maida, Artificial Colour and Flavours for my Recipes. Healthy Food Habits are must. I Never use Aluminum Utensils and Non Stick and Oven in My Cooking.
