How to make Thinai Payasam/ Foxtail Millet kheer:
This Thinai Payasam is Healthy, Tasty and Unique Sweet Recipe. You can make this just 15 Minutes. Foxtail Millet Contains Protein, Calcium, Fiber, Amino Acids and Vitamin B. It Helps to Strengthen our Body and Heart. Thinai is good for Sugar Patients also. It helps to easy Digestion. Foxtail Millet Kheeris very different from other payasam/kheer. I love this payasam lot. You also try it. Definitely you will love this.
- Foxtail Millet—3/4 cup
- Moong Dal—1/4 cup
- Jaggery Powder—1/2 cup
- Grated Coconut—1/2 cup
- Ghee-5 to 6 Teaspoon
- Cardamom Powder As needed
- Cashew nuts As needed
Instructions for make Thinai Payasam/ Foxtail Millet Kheer:
1.Firstly, take Moong Dal, Roast it in kadai/pan without oil on Medium flame till golden brown colour. You can feel that nice smell. Keep aside.
2.Secondly, Foxtail Millet Roast it in kadai/pan without oil on Medium flame. Just 2 Minutes.
3.Thirdly, boil both in cooker. Add 3 Cups of Water. Foxtail Millet and moong dal are one Cup Totally. So, 1:3 Ratio of Water. You should wait for 5 Whistles in cooker.
4.Fourthly, roast grated coconut in ghee. Keep aside.
5.Next, Once Boiled transfer to pan. Add Cardamom Powder and Roasted Grated Coconut.
6.Finally add roasted cashew nuts.
7.Tasty and Healthy Foxtail Millet Kheer/ Thinai Payasam is ready to Serve.
After boiled in Cooker, you will get more quantity. So, based on your consumption and people in your family, take foxtail millet first.
